We get to choose how we show up – each and every moment. When we give ourselves space to respond and not react, we create more harmony in our lives.
A new day has dawned and the sun is shining and the hearts are light. The roller coaster of life brings you up and down – sometimes it’s a blast and sometimes it is plain scary. It’s all relative. Having time to read in my bean bag chair is more thrilling to me than climbing the heights of an ice mountain. We each have our own barometer for life’s adventures.
It’s impossible to know what another is experiencing as we go about our day … stopping for coffee, going to the gym, picking up food at the market. We are in our own bubbles of emotion and circumstance. We get to choose how we show up – each and every moment. When we give ourselves space to respond and not react, we create more harmony in our lives.
This harmony is a gift we give the world. When we manage our own thoughts and are responsible for our own actions, we can interact in peace and not blame. It is up to us to be the change we wish to see in the world. It may seem easier to pass the buck to another, to society, to the past – but all of that is an illusion that leads nowhere. All of our work is on the inside. This new day is another chance to be free.
